Our projects start with a unique story that is brought to life with sustainable craft construction and community oriented design. The result is a project that enhances the human experience by better connecting people to each other and nature.
Over a decade ago, SolTerra started developing VeraWall, its patented living wall system, while also designing and constructing some of the largest and most unique green roofs in the Pacific Northwest. Today, we bring that decade of experience to life in our own buildings with the goal of putting people in their most natural setting, nature.
We believe that a building’s core purpose should be to create and enhance the community it is built in, inspiring a sense of pride and encouraging social interactions for those who live and work within its walls. Too many new buildings fail at this because they are designed primarily on spreadsheets, resulting in boxes, not buildings.
Every building begins with a story. From a back of the napkin sketch until the final nail is hit, we commit ourselves to telling that story through exceptional design, artisanal finishes and integration with the surrounding environment and community.
Whether integrating pieces from world renowned artists or fabricating benches reclaimed from oak trees on site, each building is unique and built to last. Our measure of success is creating buildings we hope our grandchildren will be proud of.
