Birch

About Birch

In brief: A concept inspired by a grove of birch trees: a tiered, living-wall canyon with treehouse-like amenity spaces and a rain-fed waterfall.

Inspired by a grove of birch trees, Birch takes vertical living to new heights. The center of the project is a tiered canyon featuring living walls and unique amenity spaces at each floor. The second floor features a dumbwaiter so residents can call food to their treehouse-like setting from the restaurant on the first floor. Incorporated into the canyon is a water trough that creates a waterfall effect when it rains, as water trickles down from the roof to a stormwater retention pond adjacent to the retail entry.
